Croydon Almshouse and Croydon Relief in Need Charities are each separately registered, but are associated and constituted by the same Scheme of the Charity Commission (1974) and with the same body of Trustees.

Whilst the requirements of the Almshouse Charity will normally receive priority consideration, its net surplus revenue (after making appropriate provision for reserves) has since a 1984 supplemental Scheme of The Charity Commission been available to enhance the income of the grant making Relief in Need Charity.
